We took our 2021 Mazda CX-5 in for detailing based on a recommendation from a friend, and they did a fantastic job. When we picked up the car, I mentioned that I was getting it ready to trade it in on a Toyota RAV4 Prime, and they said, “we can help with that!” (I should mention that after dropping the Mazda off for the detailing, we went to the local Toyota dealer, who said that they didn’t have any RAV4 Prime’s, and probably couldn’t get any because of demand. I remarked to my wife as we were sitting in the salesperson’s glass cubicle, “I would rather have my wisdom teeth put back in and removed again than deal with this sort of experience.)

Two days later, we drove home our new 2024 RAV4 Prime plug-in hybrid from Tilley Auto Sales!

Taking a road trip 700 miles to buy a motorcycle at my age seemed like a crazy idea, according to my wife & a longtime friend & fellow gray beard. I purchased my Toyota RAV4 at Tilley Auto Sales, I had not bought a car in a very long time, since 2006! I felt it was time so my cousin sent me a picture of a car they saw in their lot that they thought I might like – I went to check it out. I liked the RAV4 best of all and decided to get it.

2012 Ice Blue Mini Cooper...Too Cool !

After being disappointed with the big dealerships, their lack of professionalism, and their lack of knowledge concerning vehicles for sale, I stumbled across a beautiful 2012 Mini in my online search. Amazing car detail and cleaning

An absolutely amazing job detailing my car. I had an interior water leak from a blocked sunroof drain, and it ended with a musty, sour smell. They not only got the smell out, but made the exterior look better than new. I can not recommend the detailing enough. Thank you!

Great customer service!

Saw a truck I was interested in on the lot. Called David and he said come by anytime and dri e it and see what you think. Walked in the door and he flipped me the keys, already had a tag on it ready for me to drive. Told him it may be a few hours before I come back, because I had to get back to work. He said, sure! Take your time! When I got back he had already looked over my trade and had some numbers on paper. We were only about 500 apart from what I had figured in my head! He met me pretty much in the middle and i told him to get her ready and consider it a done deal. He got me financed for the difference and even stayed after hours to get my paperwork done since I dont get off work til the time he normally closes up! Great Communication and Honesty

I recently had the true pleasure of purchasing an automobile from Tilleys. I originally dealt with the son Matt. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicle I was interested in buying. We talked and I expressed my interest and he quickly retrieved items I needed for my test drive. It is a beautiful Nissan 370Z and although it was raining, he said take her out. I mentioned since it was a designed to go fast I may want to test that quality out. His response surprised me when he said "Go ahead within reason". When I came back there was some minor repairs I wanted before finalizing the purchase and he agreed to them. After that we negotiated a price a bit smaller than previously. He agreed and the deal was set by a HAND SHAKE (unusual in past dealings). On top of that the next day I came to finalize everything his dad ran his figures and came up with a number. I said I agreed to a lesser sum. He was so surprised he called Matt in and ask did you quote this. Matt said yes and the price as I had promised. No complaining from anyone (other than Matt may not have lunch money for weeks Ha HA) Honestly I would recommend them to all my family and friends. They are great to work with and have NICE cars!

We found a car on Car Gurus yesterday and inquired about because it’s what we were looking for which has not been easy. My husband spoke to David 1st thing this morning about it and worked out some of the details since this dealership is an hour and a half away from us. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by David and his two beautiful golden retrievers. The car was being washed and detailed when we got there, he took us to the garage so we can see it while it was getting prepared for us to test drive. This car looked brand new and is a 2014, it was pretty impressive how flawless and perfect it looked. We then talked to David’s son Matthew, who went over the features of the car before we took if for a ride. When we got back, our paperwork was ready for us and it was a done deal. Our experience with David, Matthew and all of the staff we encountered today was extremely smooth. We would highly recommend this wonderful, family style dealership to anyone shopping for a car. I would like to thank the staff of Tilleys Auto Sales for making my purchase experience awesome!!!! I was looking for a Chevrolet SSR and it had to be purple...I found it at Tilleys Auto Sales in Wilkesboro, NC. on the internet and called to hear the information. When I called to see if they still had the purple SSR, I talked with Jim Cashman and he said they still had the purple SSR. It was a 2004 model and the vehicle had less than 60,000 miles. He knew the owner and said it would make a great car. He told me the owner of the dealership, David Tilley, was at the car sales in Greensboro NC and would be in later during the day and he would have him call me. Sure enough...just like he said David Tilley called me later that day. I told David I wanted to come see the car and asked if he would be available the next day . So the next day, I drove from Greensboro NC to Wilkesboro NC. Upon my arrival...WOW...that purple SSR was sitting out front and looked like it had just come off the showroom floor. David introduced himself and showed me the car. He shared the good with the couple of things that the car needed. I did a test drive and then arrived back at the office. I was very worried about dealing with an all male staff since I am a widower and once I was in the office and talked with the staff I realized I was at the right place. The staff was kind and very professional. We made a deal and I told him would be back the next week to pick the vehicle up. David and I talked during the week to verify my arrival and he also shared that he added two new tires on the rear because he didn't want me on the road with those tires because of a bubble he found during an inspection on one tire so he replaced both rear tires. The car needed a cup holder and he ordered the cup holder. He did everything he said he would do!!!!! I'll bet it is unusual for someone to drive all the way across country just to trade with friends, but I did. To be able to know you are being treated fairly with trustworthy people is worth the trip. I also handed over my RV for them to handle the sale for the same reasons. To say I had a Great Customer Service Experience would be an insult to both David and Matt who have redefined the label of "Used Car Dealer." First: These cars are not used, they are High-end Pre-owned vehicles. For almost a year I have been looking for a vehicle that I can depend on, be excited to drive and that is within my set budget. After looking at almost every place possible from Wilkesboro, NC to Columbia, SC, I found myself back where my journey began with David at Tilleys. I came back for more reasons than I can list, but he was honest from day 1 (which is rare enough in this business) keeping my needs and wants at the top of the list. Fantastic experience

I've bought a few used cars from David in the past and, even though I don't live in the area anymore, when it was time to get my first new car I immediately called him. My husband and I spent a week trying to get an out the door price from large dealerships on a new Frontier. It seemed like everywhere we looked online there were hidden costs, but that was no the case with Tilley’s. Mr. Tilley called me first thing on a Monday morning following a Sunday call. When I first went to the lot, I knew he had an excellent reputation. While I worked with him I understood why. He is honest, clear about the vehicle and any issues with it, and is willing to work with a person during the finance process. Also, he has a great memory and asks me how my health is doing every time we speak. (I had surgery about the same time I bought the Nitro) I would recommend his cars to anyone.

I recently purchased a 2006 Taurus from David. I am 62 years old so I have had many vehicles but this may be the best overall deal of any. The guys at the lot are professional and polite. The car was clean as a whistle, it is obvious that they went over it in detail. Now, here is the most important thing. David assured me that everything worked on the car, the car was "as is, no warranty". Two days after I purchased, I discovered the middle brake light was out. It is a $100 replacement item. I called David and he made good on his word and covered the cost of the brake light. David was under no legal obligation to do this, he is simply a man with high values, A MAN OF HIS WORD. Worth the drive!!

06 Nissan 350z

Driving by Tilley’s wanting a rear wheel drive car, with a manual gearbox. I saw a 08 Nissan 350z on Tilley’s lot. Through my gaming childhood, I always had a passion for the Nissan 350z, for the looks and power. I had great service at Tilleys they always seemed eager to satisfy me the customer. Wanting the 08 350z on their lot, but being too slow was traded within a week for a similar car, a 06 350z. That car so newly added to their inventory, I was given permission to first hand check out the 06 350z in their storage before it was cleaned up and placed on the lot. All requests were fulfilled through the process of getting this car, touch up paint applied to little chips on hood, worn out trunk shocks replaced, and tire pressure light addressed. Respectful satisfying chill atmosphere would recommend this dealer.

Return on Investment

I'll skip the boring message about "Great service, great people". I'll prove it. I've had my vehicles cleaned anywhere from craigslist detailers to and never have I found anyone who puts as much care and detail into their work than Tillys. I've even had people at work who've parked next to me ask what air freshener I use to make my truck smell so good. And you won't find a single piece of wash or drying rag lint anywhere. I don't know how they do it. Either way, they take it one step further and have even offered to take my vehicle to get the oil changed and even inspected while I'm at work. So after work I'm greeted with my vehicle completely cleaned, oil changed, and even inspected all as requested. They are beyond friendly and respectable. I would recommend Tillys to anyone, friends, family or otherwise. Thank you for all that you do!

Honest, family business

Purchased a car from them this weekend and I have got to tell you this place was a great find. I found them on Car Gurus and I called them and had me an answer on financing in less than an hour. They had a financing option for me with a very good interest rate from a well known bank. This is a family business and you just feel at home when you visit the location complete with 2 Golden Retrievers to greet you in the parking lot. I recently financed a car with Tilley's Auto. Overall the experience was great. This was my first time buying a car and after getting the run around from big dealers, I decided to try Tilley's after seeing a car that caught my eye online. In two days I was able to discuss everything on the phone with David and Doug, even financing and any questions I had. I ended up getting a great deal on a 2016 Mazda6, which I had been looking at for months and I also ended up with an amazing loan percentage through the bank Tilley's uses.
